Both right I think what Austen is saying is that building a company is hard especially when execs change ideas or policies often that effect people. Add to that when there are offices in other parts of the world. Startup employees can be the wrong fit or have a bit of turnover

That turnover leads to instability while a business is trying to find the right match. I always compare to a football team and how you have all the talent but not all going to the same goal etc. difference between super bowl and 3-13

This is one of those Michael Crichton amnesia things: we *know* that we could find, a Google away, multiple pieces decrying Mother Teresa, Halloween, the new Mulan movie, or gardening, but then forget about that with respect to business news and assume coverage will track virtue.

It is a wake-up call when you read something about a company or an industry that you know and see the wrong conclusions and incorrect leaps of logic and speculations masquerading as facts. Makes you question the validity of everything else you read after that.
