Hey Paul just wanted to say that your writing is always thoughtful and insightful. Particularly today when I am an older guy looking for something inspiring to work on that actually makes me a living. Any thoughts on how to find something like this other than trial and error?
Start by asking what you yourself need. What do you wish someone else would start a company to do so that you could be their customer?

I feel like I need to be part of someone else’s mission that I align with. Like a project in the US that wants to go abroad and they need a point person. In your example I would be the guy with the mission. I can start there first and see how reverse engineering looks both ways.
