Paul - off-topic sorry - but I can’t find any essay from you on this. How does one pick one startup idea from the many that they have when more than one seem equally viable?
An IPO is often considered the ultimate test of success for a startup. But I think a better test may be when the incumbents you're displacing put aside their rivalries and cooperate to try to stop you. Usually by lobbying, and usually too late.

We are seeing this in places where an IPO isn't possible. My first thought it towards crypto-currency replacing various financial industries.

Robinhood is going after different customer segment though. However it is still hard to understand the plan here. Give things away for free, acquire customers, make huge losses, and think about monetization later? At some point, you need to make profit
