I am always impressed when backed into a corner, little runway left, and low in spirits due to a few consecutive duds how a couple of nobodies can create something people really want. It makes me wonder whether I was better off with $15K from YC & desperate to not go back "home."
Often they know subconsciously what they could make that people really want, but don't acknowledge it till they're forced to.
