Far too easy to fall prey to the desire to finish first in a world that obsesses over delivery speed. Yet doing so forfeits the time required to ensure the integrity of that which one delivers, whether it be a product or a completed test.

If you can go back. "Computerized adaptive tests" (GRE, GMAT, others) present questions one at a time, and use answers to select which question to ask next. So muffing easy questions early can mean that you don't even get a chance at hard questions (and high scores) later on.

I love my classes in undergrad EE for this reason. Mean class score would be 45%. Great for doing a nice spread distribution. Unlike some other courses where the difference between an A or a B is a single question on the final.
