If you can make up a plausible-sounding story that some potential feature is meant as a practical joke on users, it's probably a bad idea.

As long as the user can make meaningful decisions (i.e. as long as he isnt automated away) he has the ability to shoot himself into the foot. The problem is not that we give guns to users when they want to shoot, the problem is that we give them guns when the want toothpicks
