When you finish YC, they take you into a special room and tell you that fundraising is not success, but merely a means to an end, which is creating a successful company. They also tell you this constantly before YC, during it, and after it.

Yes, I would agree with this. Did think of this, but decided to exclude just because in most startup cases, this isn’t a factor.

But what’s interesting now is you can build overtop of the VC backed platform companies and have their prestige and army of engineers on your side while promoting them to your potential enterprise customer.
