I literally dream of the day where my company is big enough to be able to offer daycare on premise.

You’d be better off dreaming about the day when the US will be clear sighted enough to not having to let startups be responsible for proper childcare. Hello from Sweden!

Surely it is better for parents if their baby is in the same building.

Working from home is an even better arrangement. Do you see remote as being the office format of the future?

Modern offices feel so feudal to me. Food, education, leisure, and now childcare. Who needs a home in that case?

Yes, imagine a world, where parents working from home/ having part time work schedules and stay at home parents all utilizing a neighborhood facility for “childcare” which is a high end play space in itself.

That way they are not driving their kids to work, “childcare” is in the same neighborhood, kids/parents both happier. And eventually the small businesses serving as locations are also benefitted.

Back when Abby had our second, she was early at Bump. It was next to a drop-in hourly day care (right by YC btw). Ridiculously convenient, no pumping required

I suspect that providing childcare at conferences is another huge win. (I'm speaking of research, where conference attendance seems to be a huge + for many people. I'm not sure how true that is in tech.)
