If your 10 yo doesn't go to bed by himself, 7 yo can do that for you.

Same. I think there's something very relaxing about lying in my daughter's bed reading her a story and so I fall asleep there more easily than anywhere else. I'd say it's the only place where I feel like I'm doing precisely the right thing in precisely the right place.

The other day may daughter (3) was playing nicely in her room. I laid down on my bed to read some emails, passed out. Daughter thought I needed to be ‘tucked in’ so quietly buried my head in pillows. Woke up very (very!) disoriented a few minutes later… Get some sleep!

At least at 7 yo, his is probably a twin bed. I did this w/ my 3 yo and definitely fell asleep in his toddler bed

This feels way too familiar. Kids stories are designed too well for putting everyone to sleep
