Would you recommend engineers name products rather than marketing people? Serious question.
I don't care much who names things. But I'd rather engineers run car companies than marketing people, and whoever's running the company has veto over names.

Ok, but I believe Porsche CEO is an engineer (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oliver_Blume …). Looks like he just chose not to veto the marketing people over this. Looks like him and Musk preferred to use the word "turbo" and "autopilot" because they think they'll sell better. Is that a bad idea?

Said another way, should a CEO veto a name that he/she thinks would help sell the product, if he/she thinks that name might become controversial because of its technical inaccuracy?

At a well know chip company, engineers named a chip "Wearable Medical Device". The engineering documents were replete with WMD.
