7 years later, and our demo day pitch is still the foundation of every first sales conversation.. with customers, new hires, and partners.

I like this and creating a pitch may be a good exercise for every new business. It forces the founders to explicitly think about the value they bring to customers as a business.

This was probably the biggest thing yc taught me. Condensing important information into a two minute pitch, in front of hundreds of investors, is an exercise that can't be replicated in a classroom.
