Sadly only a tiny fraction of the startup “ecosystem” really acknowledges the magnitude and urgency of our situation. Keeping our eyes glued to various digital things (and physical $$$) is so much easier than looking at the scary truth.
Actually there are a lot of startups working on climate change now, either directly or indirectly. A lot of founders realize it's a problem.

Hi Paul, agree that many startups are "working" on the climate emergency, and appreciate that YC is backing quite a few. However, the mentality still seems to be "come up with a clever idea, gather a solid team, make a bunch of money". We won't save humanity by thinking of profit
