Eliminating everything that’s not mission critical from my routine. Cutting the fat from my day and adding more muscle to it to ensure I get everything done I want to do. Not using the “not enough time” excuse anymore. Either going to make time or use my time more effectively.

My best ideas come from being active in nature. Honestly, that’s where my best work is done. Excited to get to spend an hour running trails in the mountains everyday. Super healthy for me both physically and mentally, makes me happy, and it’s productive. Win-win-win.

Couldn’t agree more. I’m more talking about things like mindless social media browsing and too much entertainment media. Trying to optimize my free time to be more serendipitous and to make sure I’m spending it doing things that I genuinely love, while also getting work done.

“Trying to optimize my free time to be more serendipitous” reads at face value like an oxymoron, but if executed on intentionally is a recipe for success and maybe even happiness too

And I’d also add that I consider these things to be mission critical :)

That's great advice. Efficiency is overrated. Numbers aren't everything. Wholeness (as in being a well rounded, complete person, which means having free time to pursue random things and simply rest) is severely underrated.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is to step away, take a break, and recharge.

Paul, I totally agree, but... on the other hand, this also sounds like something older folks say after they've made a fortune by working 18-hour days for 20 years?
