Student debt is something the government makes it extra easy to get into, and extra hard to get out of. The word for that is "trap." I don't think the government meant to create a trap, but that's what they've ended up doing.

Lambda is great, but hardly the solution to this problem. Social experience is hard replicate online. Also much of college is about signal (dropping out of Harvard / Stanford is as good as getting the degree).

Yeah this a gross exaggeration of lambda's mission. Sure, cool unique twist on a specific type of training. But no, it's not a way to make student debt obsolete

That works only if you're into tech. What if you're daringly aspirational for an MBA? Is there no way for you to avoid student debt? Will you be able to pay it back in 5 years or so, if it's from a decent top 20 school?
