Somehow if I close and reopen a document (instead of simply reading it again) I'm much more likely to notice typos

Changing the font size and family also helps spotting typos. As does changing the text width.

Just the act of irrevocably clicking 'print' can be enough. Or sending an email.

For sure, I do that for very important documents. Would be super nice to have a connected e-reader for it.
