I don't understand how investors can stand having a startup pitch them with a slide deck. I get glassy-eyed as soon as I see a slide. I wonder if that's the point — that this format gives investors the option to check out if the pitch is boring?

Do you have a ‘good response’ in mind to this question as I imagine it can be quite subjective? - personally I love hearing stories about a business being born out of a ‘real’ problem the founders faced, current solutions sucked so they went about fixing it themselves
