PRO TIP: Don't take criticism from someone you would never go to for advice.

This seems too broad. It doesn't matter who a bug report comes from, for example, so long as you can reproduce it. A narrower version of it might be true though. For example, you can usually ignore the aesthetic judgments of people you know have bad taste.

Lordy, it's some general advice on how to deal with people, not a step by step instructions manual. In the spirit it was given, it's good advice.

Adjusted: it’s probably valuable to listen to criticism from people you serve. Like, employees as well.

I really like this one. Just remove the probably.

I think this is sound life advice, not a business one. I think it could be rephrased to something like: don't lose sleep over opinions of people you don't respect, or something along those lines. As I said, not applicable in business. In business it shouldn't be personal.

I’d argue criticism and advice are closer to aesthetic judgements than they are to bugs.

Yep. I recently got some helpful feedback from another technologist I don't much care for. Had to tuck away my bias on that one.
