The chancellor/provost/etc of a university, even a very good university, does not wake up in the morning and F5 on his undergrads’ employment numbers. They have arguments as to why. (“It’s déclassé! That suggests that the purpose of the university is job prep!”) https://twitter.com/Austen/status/1148635086893436928 …

I would bet against that; career services probably knows. Do people who actually matter at the university know? Oh heck no. This factoid ranks up there somewhere with cafeteria food spoilage in the realm of Operational Metrics For A Part-Time IC To Track.

Employment numbers are a huge deal (at least in the UK) and a primary marketing tool for universities. They factor in to all the "league tables". So I'm certain the vice chancellors will look at them.

That, and most institutions obscenely game the numbers for accreditation purposes. Graduates go work for the university in admissions... or soliciting alumni donations.. Bad coding bootcamps play this game by hiring their students as "instructors."
