To be fair to them Toyota made the original Prius look normal (basically a Toyota Echo) and only once they made it look ~different~ did it take off. Many people cannot recognize 1st gen Prius!

Disagree. Kia Niro is not an ugly car and looks pretty cool. Infact while driving you wouldn't be able to tell a Niro EV from Niro PHEV is the missing front grill! Tesla only has AI above this car and it does 272 miles normal driving (280 if driving eco+).
