The Boom founding story is incredible, especially given that
@bscholl didn't come from the industry. SpaceX's BFR though will likely beat all these supersonic startups to market with a fly-ready product (technically at least) for point-to-point transport. So crazy! -
The challenge with point-to-point rockets is that it's not backwards compatible with existing infrastructure. You have to figure out how to get launch pads, transport to the rocket, new security, etc.
