I think creative types over-engineer naming precisely when it has least meaning. And when naming has its use, they randomly under-engineer.

At least initially, it builds more interest to have a plane called Boom. The juxtaposition is a conversation starter and actually good marketing.

That said, it is a risky move to have people think safety with that plane after that initial pause.
