I should warn you that within YC at least, the local event aggregator is the canonical bad startup idea. That said, it's possible that there's a form that works, and maybe this is one. I suppose you'd optimize for users. But are you sure you want to work on this?

My guess is that the reason it never works is that people don't actually want to discover local events. They want to sit at home and watch Netflix, or play video games, or whatever they usually do.
