"Call out" is just a synonym for "attack" that assumes the attacker is correct.

I think many people would define it an attempt by a victim to get a sliver of justice in a culture that ordinarily provides none. Do you not sympathize with aspects of this view at all?

This implies accusing somebody = proving their guilt. As if calling out (to fight, for explanation) = winning fight, proving explanation wrong.
