Ridiculing Trump's solecisms may make you feel better, but it doesn't harm him, and may even help him. Every bit of attention you draw to them draws attention away from things he really doesn't want people looking at, like his business dealings before the presidency.

Making fun of Trump's solecisms certainly doesn't hurt his political support. After all, his base is the people whose (grammatical and political) solecisms you make fun of, and the fact that you do is a significant part of their motivation for supporting him.

Perfect example of a showy word that never has to be used because you can just say "grammatical mistakes" and ensure everyone knows what you're talking about

It doesn't simply mean grammatical mistakes though. It includes spelling mistakes, and misusing phrases you've misunderstood.
