When I met Austen and did the math, I realized the simple reason Lambda School prepares students so well. @paulg, you will agree with me that it is definitely not for the money. At least, not for companies that have already figured out their market. If you take away exposure to market (at scale), exposure to investors, peers & mentors, can you think of any other reason? -
The advice, the alumni network (who often become close friends), the experience of working side by side with other startups at the same stage, the fact that YC has your back when you're dealing with investors, even years after Demo Day.
