Great! You do you, as they say. FWIW founders often tell me they get much more out of other parts of YC than advice, but that's for them to say. I hear: network of founders, brand, deadline for progress, etc. Reviews of advice are mixed. If you care for the feedback.

I think the key, as with many mastermind groups, is that knowledgeable people are providing possible solutions and letting you make the decision ... not telling you what to do.

I thought you'd retired from YC? We've invested in an order of magnitude fewer startups, if not two, and I do wonder if my perspective would get any sharper if I had more data as a direct investor. Maybe it would! Certainly our ability to catch an outlier would go up.
