For well over a decade, Silicon Valley was lauded and celebrated as its members told us to trust them. In the present world, society is literally tearing itself apart because of those same heroes and their platforms. But sure...The Reg and others should take it easy on them.

SV fought against regulation because they said they'd self regulate. None of that happened. The abuse, bullying, data breaches, privacy violations, profiling, tracking, misinformation, etc etc etc is on a scale that's unfathomable and now those same leaders are saying
