If I were a 22 year starting a startup I would certainly apply to YC. Which is not that surprising, since it was designed to be what I wish I'd had when I did start one. But (assuming I got in) I would not get sucked into raising a huge amount on Demo Day.

Yeah big corps vs startups is quite a fashionable debate. But not many seem to speak as much of higher education as an option at 22. Where are you on this ?

Why is that? You could argue that the experience gained from a mega successful company would help you with some best practices on your own venture later on. Me starting a startup at 31 >>> me starting a startup at 22

Not in my experience. Ideally grad school = being the apprentice of a smart professor.
