In 1982 Alan Kay said "people who are really serious about software should make their own hardware." Is using name your cloud provider the equivalent of this today?
In 2015, he also walked in to YC... Now sure how that story ended. @paulg anything notable?
I had lunch with him when he came to visit YC. I learned all kinds of things I didn't know.

Strangely enough the thing I remember best was that when people are shot in the head, it's way grosser than the way they portray it in movies. But I never investigated further because I know there are things on the internet I don't want to see.
