The responses were nuanced critiques, not pitchforks, not demands for for deplatforming, not a twisting of your words, but an exploration of the nuance. Sometimes people just disagree with you, having nothing to do with PC or virtue signaling.
I wasn't talking only about that thread. It's a general feature of Twitter, and for that matter of Fox News. But as Zack's examples show, there was a good deal of it on that thread.

It's tough - tone can be difficult to ascertain on twitter. While I'm somewhat passionate about the line of argument I made, it wasn't at all emotionally directed at yourself or Gary or YC, all of which I respect. Heated intellectual debates can seem personal.
