Many businesses consist in practice mostly of client handholding, but practically no startups do. Startups scale, and handholding doesn't.

I think I’m misreading this, isn’t doing things that don’t scale a type of hand holding?
Definitely. But there you're using handholding to bridge initial gaps in your product. It can't be intrinsic to the business.

Makes sense, makes sense. Sometimes if you almost hand hold too much, I’m sure you can probably find that the sub problem is more compelling than the super problem you’re trying to work on.
