I will try to restrain myself, because you clearly don't know what you're talking about. But that is exactly what I do encourage my kids to do.
Incidentally, I can tell you don't have kids yet, because if you did, you'd know the worst thing you can say to someone is to call them a bad parent, and you'd never do such a thing based on a hastily formed Twitter opinion.
