Specially if its written in "functional" style
Making code shorter often also makes it more correct. Part of what you're doing when you boil code down is eliminating conflicting assumptions. I've seen this happen often enough that I'm now suspicious of the correctness of any code that seems unnecessarily long.

Is this an argument for making things more concrete? Abstraction usually adds complexity but that’s what makes it useable. Ex code with no variables is shorter but not as easy to use.

I read this tweet as referring to code bloats from patches put over edge cases in the wrong abstraction. Fix the abstraction and the code dramatically shrinks.
