Paul, have you tried using Pi-Hole? I spend most of my time online and I use raspberrypi to block ads network wide. No ads on all of my devices. I can browse anything on mobile, use apps, all of it without ads and tracking. I've blocked telemetry as well. https://pi-hole.net
