What as per you is the common possible denominator among all these people? I think it is something to do with their DNA and family background, values, and hardships in life.
I think it's just a skill, like athletic ability. The things that the social radars I know have in common (insatiable appetite for gossip, high moral standards, lack of interest in ideology) probably derive from it more than cause it.

I think about this a lot. One hack to dial up intuition: I imagine I just wired the person a lot of $. 10 mins later my phone rings and their name is on the CallerID. Am I at all subtly bracing for a retrade / bad news? Or conversely would I be fine wiring $ on a handshake?
