Books will be written someday about the radical remaking of the NYT over the past few years as an ultra-elite stealth troll force. Absolutely masterful, god-level, unparalleled & undetected trolling at massive scale. No one comes close.https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/01/opinion/uber-ipo.html …

Noam Chomsky used to recommend the Wall Street Journal as a pretty close to honest publication since it’s more of a trade magazine for capitalists rather than a propaganda outlet

Didn’t the Economist said they were strongly biased towards happiness, or was it growth? I remember them defending their (slight) pro-liberal angle by saying that they prefer when people have food.
-
Note: The Economist interestingly holds the only position that both Europeans and Americans call liberal.

What do you think of Financial Times?

I get it on Kindle and it's horrible. It's not wapo, but it's really pretty poor.

And even the Economist - which I've subscribed to since the 80s - is becoming pretty lefty, or a least not true to it's liberal roots. The quality of the writing has clearly decreased in the last few years as well. I still subscribe, because what's the alternative, really?
