The internet is still in the very early stages. A lack of experimentation could be bc how orgs currently work is optimal, but it could also be path dependence. I think it’s more the latter

Yes. To double-click more: Enough drivers want CASH for their labor, and not stock in a private driver co-op (no matter how altruistic the cap table is) So risk taking founders can raise VC to pay them, and hold that private stock as compensation.

Even in open source which you can argue is that for developers. You have hierarchies and people who were more risk tolerant and went first. They become the founders also finding others at the same point in life is really hard.
