Something I wish I'd done while my mother was still alive: I wish I'd written an essay, just for myself, about what she was like as a person. I knew her pretty well, but I'd know her better if I'd had to observe her and ask her questions in order to describe her in writing.

Can you give some examples of questions you would have asked? I’d like to do this.
I wouldn't do it too much like an interview, more a long conversation with the ulterior motive of figuring out what was going on in her head.

I recorded a videos for my daughter in case something happens to me before her 18th birthday/college grad/wedding day/first child... I was actually thinking a service that makes the process easy would be great and for Grandparents too. And if I’m alive we watch them together.
