Spending time in industrial building’s rooms without drop ceilings has made me appreciate drop ceilings. Exposed steel beams are cool to look at once but are acoustically terrible forever.

Haha, I'd hate to have a stressful meeting in a room like that. Even knowing intellectually that it's soft foam, there's a particular feeling of urgency that comes with walls that look like they could impale you.
