Advice they listen to, could also be turned around, and one could check for the kind of advice they're giving, the kind of examples cited in it.

Really interesting. My 6 years old daughter loves to make rules. If she didn’t know how to play a game, she will makes new rules and play. Every time different way of playing the same game with new rules. I love this way of thinking.

I’ve been using your method of recording stories that my 5 yo tells me to also understand themes and things he is interested in.

Have you found any common themes or underlying meanings in them?

Yes this is it. Wonderfully given words. People won’t listen to advice which bores them. Same in a classroom too. But many adults actually do many things which for others is boring or may it’s boring for them too still they do it.
-
I agree in general, but there are certain boring things adults must do, like pay taxes ;) If everyone followed this advice then we wouldn’t have any accountants.

It was signaled to me at a young age that I had the math and science aptitude. A huge realization for me was that I could find other things interesting and be good at them too. Things like writing, sports and French. Took me places I couldn’t have gone to otherwise.
