When I was little I was determined to always protect nature, stand against 'bad people' to save forests, animals, wilderness. 🌳🌱🦝🦉 As I grew up my convictions slowly faded, and I've done literally nothing.

Germany's nuclear phase out makes zero sense, and is one of the most frustrating energy trends. Do you think there's hope of that reversing?

Not only is there hope, it seems inevitable. The question is how soon.

These things happened also without renewables push in the past. It’s not clear that if nuclear would not have been phased out no coal fired would have been built. Maybe the system would have been nuclear+coal instead. Which would not be any better.

Also the author of the thread says in the comments: “Both nuclear and coal are energies of the past, and a threat to our planet. No need to choose between "Pest and Cholera", renewables are the way forward.”
