10 years old seems a bit young for Psycho? I've been very careful with this because I saw movies that I *DEFINITELY SHOULD NOT HAVE SEEN* at a young age and that, uh.. stayed with me for a while

Fun fact for youngsters: apparently Psycho scared the SHIT out of people when it came out in 1960. Now we might be laughing at it but back then it was one of the first screenings to imagine "horror" stories

My 10 yo daughter has seen Psycho multiple times (because I put it on often, my favorite movie.) The first few times I would fast forward through the two murder scenes. Then gradually she let me know when she was OK with showing more of it. That movie is so much more than murders
