In common usage, especially on the far left, "problematic" is usually just a pretentious synonym for "bad." If you replace the former with the latter, you see what's actually being said.

Maybe. But it can also be a way of saying you have a balanced view of something. You see pros and cons and you concede that, even if you think there are more cons eventually. In times of intolerance, it can be a starter rather than an "attempt to evade"

Or I could have said: it seems problematic to assume that 'problematic' automatically means "a pretentious and intellectually dishonest" "attempt to evade [...] burden of-proof". Because: even acknowledging that's sometimes the case, it is not in all cases. What do you think?
