It's been so long since I wrote it that I can almost read it the way someone else would. And basically it's in the category of books where the author seems to know what he's talking about, but cares more about more boring details than I ever will. Which is really weird.

Incidentally, I wrote On Lisp on legal pads mostly. I didn't have my own computer then. Computers were in offices and labs, and I couldn't write there. So I'd write a few pages at a time and then type it in next time I was at a computer.

Relatable. I write daily, got to 100k words so far. It happaned that I read my stuff without knowing it’s me, agreed the hell out of it, wanted to comment saying thank u to the author And find out it’s me. What the hell.

I wrote down my Apple experiences and put them in a book as a means of transferring those memories to long-term storage. I no longer have to keep every personal interaction and technical detail in my head, and I don’t feel the pressure to periodically refresh them lest I forget.
