This just shows how broken the internship system is. I applied to 50+ internships and got rejected. Then I got offered a job as soon as I graduated.

I started working at my university as a unix admin part time in high school 30 years ago. One friend in my AP CS class was programming RAID device drivers for OS2 for a local co. Got my internship at 19 that promptly turned into a “full time” job. F/T pay, flex hours. Good times.
