Something I wish existed: a mobile app that dynamically calculates the probability you're about to crash your car, based on your speed, the history of the piece of road you're on, the weather, the time of day, accelerometer data, etc.

Since probabilities would vary a lot more than your course was unpredictable, it would sometimes be able to warn you eerily far ahead of time. If it was good enough, there would be times when it would go off as soon as you got in your car.

I did in HS but I don't remember it well. Did it talk about something like this?

my actual guess is that without a smoothing algorithm it would be useless (the probability is very spiky, changing faster than your reaction time).

but in terms of a UI, the real world model for this is a passenger who screams at you because they are afraid your driving is going to kill them, so imitate that.

Beeping is more effective than a visual stimulus. When someone is not paying attention to the road, whether lost in thoughts, distracted by something else or dozing off, your mind can still pick a sound associated with danger
