Version one just tells you about dangerous bits of road. I occasionally find myself on a bit of road that's palpably dangerous. I bet some 100 yard stretches have 1000x as many crashes per car as others. It would be helpful to be warned about these.

Obviously it would not display the probability as a number, but rather beep and/or glow red or something when it crossed a threshold.

Since probabilities would vary a lot more than your course was unpredictable, it would sometimes be able to warn you eerily far ahead of time. If it was good enough, there would be times when it would go off as soon as you got in your car.
