That’s an interesting POV. Andy Rachleff makes a similar argument. Although I think that there’s upside to looking at current products and making them better by figuring out the ‘job’ users r hiring them 4 (provided they don’t do it well.) I.e Zoom, Tinder, Google

I’ve observed (specially with my niece) that though they are immersed in something else they subconsciously grab the information from the surrounding environment and gradually that creates their values over the period of years.
