I love this. Can’t wait to see it take off after the first batch.

Every male programmer should teach at least one female... problem solved.

I am an undergraduate EU citizen student living in Canada. I want one day to have my own startup and I'm ready to take advantage of my summer to learn to code. Unfortunately, I don't fit into all these criteria. If I pay upfront the 9000$ will it be possible to join this cohort?

Lambda School has a phenomenal part-time program. I’m not sure if our part-time program has launched in the EU, but I’d definitely ask @tommycollison about it. It might just change your life.

Cheers. It would have been helpful to state in the tweet or at the beginning of the post that the program is for US residents only.

More so, given that the post states “The Summer Hackers Program is an on-line, remote course.”

Here is the corresponding flamewar on HN https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=19464269 … Responses like this to such programs are finally getting more common.
