When investors ask you questions about your company, don't begin with "so." It's a tell that you're about to emit prefabricated sentences, and those never hold the other person's attention like actual conversation.

Is the feeling similar when you’re told, “that’s a good question”? (I’m confessing to that canned but truthful line — along with “so” sentences — as I continue to acclimate to my gig pitching investors.)

"That's a good question" has greater variance depending on whether it seems spontaneous or not.
